Research Projects

I am studying how to use some molecular inhibitors to affect the aggregation of Aβ40 in vitro. People think that Alzheimer's disease(AD), which manifests in progressive neurodegeneration, is characterized by the presence of amyloid-β(Aβ) peptide aggregates. However, the mechanism for the formation of Aβ aggregates is not entirely understood. We try to affect the aggregation of Aβ by means of inhibitors and then explore a kind of therapeutics for AD
